The Institution of Engineers, Australia Award for Excellence in Engineering Education
Established in 1991, the Medal for Excellence is the Association's premier award. It is awarded to an individual who has made an outstanding and sustained contribution to engineering education in Australasia. Their contribution may have taken a variety of different forms, including excellence and innovation in teaching and/or curriculum; an exceptional ability to motivate and inspire students; outstanding leadership and vision; building cooperative relationships between institutions or with industry; scholarly contributions to the engineering education literature; or by serving as an outstanding role model for the engineers of the future.
The award is sponsored by The Institution of Engineers, Australia and consists of a $5000 honorarium, a framed certificate, and a sterling silver medallion.
