We stand at a critical moment in time for Engineering Education
as we surf the crest of the information technology age and face
the pressures for universities to adopt business models and focus
on vocational outcomes. These pressures have arisen at a time when
engineering education is responding to the innovative 1996 Review
that promotes cultural change and diverse graduate attributes. These
changes require stakeholders to possess attributes that span the
gulf between technical, business and social qualities. In these
challenging times they need, in particular, creativity and leadership. We invite you to Canberra for the 13th Annual Conference for Australasian
Association for Engineering Education and the 8th Australasian Women
in Engineering Forum to be held from 30 September 2002 to 2 October
2002. The conference promises to be a rewarding and informative
event that will provide educational and professional benefits, as
well as networking, for all that attend. Childcare If you require childcare during the conference, please contact
Conference Solutions on (02) 62853000 prior to the conference. Agency
rates are approximately $72 for first 3 hours and $13 for subsequent
hours (up to 4 children). The agency would use the delegate's hotel
room.
