Western Australia is adored for its brilliant blue skies, warm sunny climate and white sandy beaches. Spend a day shopping, cruising on the Swan River, relaxing on a secluded beach, or play a round of golf on one of Perth's many courses. Deposit

A deposit of one night’s accommodation, or credit card details are required to secure your booking and early bookings are strongly advised. The balance of your accommodation account and any incidental charges must be paid in full direct to the hotel upon your departure.

Deadlines

Fremantle has a limited number of hotels and we encourage delegates to book accommodation well in advance. Hotels impose strict release dates for block accommodation bookings. All rooms are released on 1 November 2011 and therefore all accommodation bookings received after this date will be subject to availability.

Terminology

Double Room: refers to a room with one Double/Queen Bed occupied by two people.

Twin Room: refers to a room with two Single Beds.

Single Room: refers to a room with one Double/Queen Bed occupied by one person only.

General Information

Taxis

Taxi ranks are located outside both terminals, and commissionaires are available to assist you during peak movement periods.

Parking

Parking is available in the secure, undercover, multi story Collie Street Car Park situated adjacent to the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle in Collie Street. Parking Discount Tickets are available to purchase allowing delegates to park for the full day at a flat rate of $13.00, subject to change. Parking Discount Tickets can be purchased by completing the relevant section on the Registration Form. Tickets will be given to delegates upon registration. Please note that by purchasing a pre-paid parking ticket, a car bay is not guaranteed – we recommend you arrive at the car park by 8.00am.

Bookings for pre-paid parking will close on Friday 25 November 2011.

Child Care

Please note that no official arrangements have been made for child care during the Conference. Please check with the hotel you are staying at who may be able to assist you further with babysitting services during your stay.

Climate

The average maximum temperature in December is 29°C and the average minimum temperature is 16°C.

Communication

All communication with registered delegates will be by email wherever an email address is provided, or by fax. If you register and do not receive a confirmation either by email or fax within 5 working days please contact the Conference Secretariat EECW by phone on (08) 9389 1488 or email rsvp@eecw.com.au.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the Conference. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Conference, or through cancellation of the Conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. Neither the Conference Secretariat nor the Organising Committee will take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline in regard to this matter.

Meals

The Conference Organisers recognise that some delegates may have special dietary needs. Please advise the Conference Secretariat either via the registration form or in writing should you wish for them to make alternative arrangements on your behalf.

Please Note: Dietary requirements received less than 72 hours prior to the event cannot be guaranteed. Kosher meals may be available, however please note this will be at an additional cost.

Smoking Policy

The West Australian Government imposes a strict no smoking policy in venues, restaurants, bars and shopping centres in Perth.
