ERM - Educational Research Methods

For many academics in engineering educational research is necessarily a subsidiary interest, only able to be pursued after the obligations of teaching and technical research have been met. For those of us who are nevertheless passionate about education, it is often difficult to justify the time spent on this kind of research and to get recognition for it from our universities. The ERM group exists to help address these problems through:

  • Improving research quality through better deployment of best-practice research
  • Raising profile of educational research in engineering faculties

The group is establishing a lively presence at the annual AaeE conference with paper sessions and workshops. Why don't you think about submitting a paper?

In 2009 AaeE and ACED are supporting a series of workshops in major centres around Australasia on Educational Research and Your Career.

The ERM wiki can be found at http://aaee-scholar.pbwiki.com. This is a place where members can share resources and have some discussion of issues. Please visit and contribute.
