Frontiers in Education 2008

The 2008 Frontiers in Education Conference (FIE 2008) continues a long tradition of disseminating innovations that improve computer science, engineering, and technology (CSET) education. It is an ideal forum for sharing your ideas, learning about new developments in CSET education, and interacting with your colleagues. Whether it is a full paper, a work in progress or proposals for panels, special sessions or workshops, this is your opportunity to share your work with your colleagues from around the world. For a list of topics of interest, conference information and more, click here. This year’s conference will be in Saratoga Springs, New York, and the conference planners are especially interested in continuing the dialog about globalization and models of innovation in CSET education.

Call for Papers—Submission Deadline is January 14, 2008 - http://fie.engrng.pitt.edu/fie2008/.

Research in Engineering Education Symposium (REES) 2008

Building on the successes and lessons learned from the pilot International Conference on Research in Engineering Education held in Hawaii in June 2007, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Research in Engineering Education Symposium (REES) to be held July 8-10, 2008 in beautiful Davos, Switzerland. An international planning committee is hard at work finalizing the details for submitting and reviewing papers/works in progress. The logistics for the meeting are being handled through ECI, a group which handles many international engineering meetings each year. Further, we believe that generous sponsorship will hold the conference costs (excluding transportation costs) to a minimum for those whose papers/works in progress are accepted. Details will follow by December 1, 2007.

If you would like to be put on a contact list to be kept informed about the symposium, please send an e-mail to Dr. Barbara Olds at
