2012 Australasian Association for Engineering Education (AAEE) Annual Conference
3rd - 5th December 2012
Thank You!
On behalf of the organising committee I would like to thank everyone that helped make the 2012 AAEE conference a great success. Almost 260 delegates came together in Melbourne to discuss issues around the Profession of Engineering Education. We had 124 papers presented in a new format that emphasised dialogue and discussions, 17 workshops and symposia on different topics and 7 Master Classes presented offering unique professional development opportunities.
A special congratulations to Kacey Beddoes, Alice Pawley and Dina Banerjee for winning the best 2012 paper with "Gendered Facets of Faculty Careers and Challenges to Engineering Education as an Inclusive Profession". Honourable mentions went to Martin McCarthy and Lydia Kavanagh, Liza O'Moore and Lesley Jolly for their papers.
Also thanks to everyone who reviewed papers for the conference. Congratulations to Lynette Johns-Boast who received the award for best reviewer, with honourable mentions going to Gavin Buskes, Peter Gibbins and James Trevelyan.
I hope to see you at future AAEE conferences!
